Representative of the SSC of the Republic of Azerbaijan Zabiha Asgar – head adviser of the Department of Population and Gender Statistics participated in the High-level meeting on the Improvement of Civil Registration and Vital Statistics in Asia and the Pacific hold on 10-11 December, 2012 at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand.

Meeting was organized by Department on Statistical and Economical researches of ECO and Turkish Statistical Institute. Representatives from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Iran, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan and Republic of Tajikistan were participated in the meeting. Moreover representatives of Turkish Statistical Institute, TIKA and SESRIC were participated in the meeting.
