Population census is the source for receiving of information on population.
Current calculation of population size is realized on the base of last population census results. Each year number of birth and arrivals is added to population size and number of death and migration is subtracted from the number of population.
Average number of population is a mathematical calculation of the average number for the beginning and end of the corresponding year.
Able-bodied population consists of labour resources. Not only economically active population, but also other categories of able-bodied persons currently unemployed and not seeking a job, as well as persons who study without leaving their place of employment are included in this category.
Population at able-bodied age – till 1999 – men 16-59 years old, woman 16-54; 1999-2000 - men 15-60 years old, woman 15-55; since 2001 - men 15-61 years old, woman 15-56.
Able-bodied population at able-bodied age are persons who carry out any labour activity and who are between of under and over age limit.
