This publication covers basic statistical indicators showing changes in the population size of Azerbaijan Republic and main demographic trends in the country in 2008, compared with previous years.
Sixth sections of the publication contain the data related to population, its age-sex structure, general population replacement indices, marriage and divorce data, fertility, mortality by age and sex and causes of death. Main demographic variables for Azerbaijan are presented in seventh section comparison with other countries.
The indicators shown are based on population censuses data, annual current population estimates and the state statistical records.
