Methodological explonations
The material of this section is based on the data obtained through the statistical processing of information, indicated in certificates on death, as well as data from the second copy of the certificate on birth for live births and stillbirths.
General death ratio - is an indicator showing the death rate among the population. It is the ration between the numbers of dead to the average annual population size for the calendar year.
Age ratio of death - is computed as ratio between the number of dead referred to a specific age group and average annual population size of that age group for the calendar year. This ratio reflects the death level for each age group for the calendar year.
Infant mortality rate - the indicator reflecting the death rate among children under 1 year. It is the ratio between the number of dead under 1 year to the number of live birth for the same year. It is computed per 1000 of population.
