M e t h o d o l o g y Tourism is a temporary leaving (traveling) of the permanent residence by citizens of Azerbaijan as well as foreigners and persons without any citizenship for the purpose of job-duty (excluding implementation of the jobs), rest, familiarization with historical and cultural wealth, recovery, sport, and religious without carrying out any paid activity in the country of temporary living. Tourist-is a person who temporary leaves (traveling) permanent residence from 24 hours to 12 months for the purpose of job-duty (excluding implementation of the job), rest, familiarization with historical and cultural wealth, recovery, sport, and religious without carrying out any paid activity in the country of temporary living. Tour-is a form of trip in individual or group form based on concrete route as or definite time. Tourist blank is a document that confirms payment of services considered in the program. Tourist services-are complex of services such as accommodation, transportation and feeding of the tourists, as well as excursion, provision with guide-interpreter and other services provided irrespective of purpose of journey. Hotels and enterprises of hotel type include enterprises that provide tourists with certain services and classified by categories based on level of services and available equipments including having more number of rooms, unit management and etc. Categories of hotels and enterprises of hotel type. Referring of the enterprises to defined categories is expressed with number of stars from one to five. Room fund is total number of rooms at the hotel, which are equipped with necessary furniture, inventory and etc. Overnight stop includes number of permanent and temporary places (including booking of the room) used during year and is defined based on registration book at the hotel. This indicator reflects number of beds used during the reporting year (beds used during year-day).
